Silhouette

Inspired by Three Women, (1908).

Created in 1908, Three Women is an important work of Picasso in his "African period". The female figures in the painting did not convey authenticity or aesthetic beauty. Instead, they come in rough and powerful, resembling a wood or stone sculpture. At this time, the artist was not fully into "Cubism" and viewers could still distinguish the faces, bodies and postures of the women in the picture.

MOOCHACHA takes inspiration from the female faces in Three Women to create a pair of 18-karat yellow gold rectangular openwork earrings. Portraying the cubic faces of the women, the asymmetrical "Sihouette" collection from MOOCHACHA features earrings empower the wearers to be unbounded, unique, confident, and determined, an unrelentling pursuit for freedom.
