Bridge

Inspired by Waterloo Bridge, Effect of Fog, (1903).

The heavy fog in London affects and changes the normal light of the city, shrouding and even engulfing the buildings Monet captured the ephemeral scene of foggy London in complex and subtle colours. Waterloo Bridge, Effect of Fog centres on the drifting mist where the sky and the river meet, and the whole city is transmuted into a faintly lavender scene.

Waterloo Bridge, since its opening in 1817, has been a favourite subject of many artists. Master sculptor Antonio Canova described her as "the most beautiful bridge in the world". Inspired by the silhouette of the bridge in Monet’s Waterloo Bridge, Effect of Fog, MOOCHACHA’s Bridge collection transforms the famous bridge into a rose gold necklace contouring the imposing presence of the bridge with a sense of perspective and spatial recession. In times of uncertainty, only an open heart allows us to build an emotional bond and to connect with each others. When two souls meet, a moment is forever.
