Framing Emotions
Inspired by Madonna and the Child (1478-1480).
In Madonna and the Child, Leonardo da Vinci brought viewers' attention from the double-arched window at the top of the painting to the Virgin Mary and the Holy Child Jesus sitting on the bench. A typical Renaissance work, the painting emphasizes peace, solidarity, and the sense of order in the composition where the subjects sit in harmony with the confined space, exuding a sense of comfort and harmony.
Set in 18-karat yellow gold with diamonds with exquisite openwork in three dimensions, MOOCHACHA's "Framing Emotions" collection rediscovers the master painter's perspective and metaphor, reproducing the characteristics of architectural and decorative arts of the Renaissance, while recreating the virtue and tranquillity of the canvas in chiaroscuro with the contrast of light.
